Ashwagandha has been used for more than 2000 years by certain cultures for its benefits as a health tonic. I began taking ashwagandha to help re-normalize my thyroid function and diminish my chronic inflammation. But, its benefits were far more than expected. It relieves anxiety, reduces sugar cravings, helps with sound sleep, lowers blood pressure, and reduces my stress response (key to reducing inflammation). The ashwagandha root powder I purchase from Nuts.com is fresh and does all that I expected it to do. Highly recommend.
